Join MOCA on the first Sunday of every month for MOCA Sunday Stories for storytime, followed by a DIY early childhood art project. Sponsored by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, this early childhood program engages toddlers and fosters reading, motor skill development and socialization. MOCA Sunday Stories is also a great way for children to bond with their parents or guardians as they create together.
After reading along to the children's book Where Are You From, children/families will illustrate or collage what “home” or “heritage” means to them by blending landscapes, patterns, and colors from their cultural backgrounds with the flora, fauna and motifs found in MOCA exhibiting artist Diana Eusebio’s work.
We ask that participants register all children as well as adults in their group, it helps our staff know how many seats to prepare, thank you!
Please note, that by registering you are not guaranteed a seat, as our programs are free, they are first come first serve.
