Ready, set, create! miniMakers are your opportunity to dive into different art mediums once a month at MOCA. Workshops are for families with children ages 6-12, designed around artists, art history, and current MOCA Exhibitions.
Inspired by artist Art on the Plaza artist Carrington Ware’s colorful fabric flag installations, families will create their own wind-activated artworks that move, flutter, and dance in the breeze. Using fabric, paper, and lightweight materials, participants can design small kites, streamers, wind chimes, or sculptural forms that respond to air and movement.

We ask that participants register all children as well as adults in their group, it helps our staff know how many seats to prepare, thank you!
This free program is made possible by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). We are also grateful to the Books & Books Literary Foundation for providing our participating families free picture books. To continue to support MOCA and it's free educational programming, please consider becoming a MOCA member!
