Thank you for your interest in MOCA Teen Art Force!

MOCA's Teen Art Force is a free afterschool program that offers students the ability to develop their artistic skill and voice while offering participating in various open studio times, community service projects, team building activities, public speaking opportunities, and  a variety of fieldtrips.

We ask that both student and parent/guardian fill out the registration form and student information form together. Registrants must be13-17 years old, a Miami-Dade resident, and must attend a minimum of 25 classes throughout the run of the three sessions in order to receive their service hours for the program.

Students are able to register for one or more classes during the week, and must complete the registration fully. The Teen Art Force program is funded by The Children's Trust and Miami-Dade County, which collects information gathered in order to better serve South Florida's children. 

TAF classes are held:

Monday - Friday from 3pm - 6pm

• Homework and Snacks 3pm - 4pm
• Art Classes are from 4pm - 6pm 

Sessions

In order to fully register you must fill out this registration form AND the student information form. You must register for each session separately through the MOCA website. 

• Session 1: September, 3,2024- December 20,2024
• Session 2: January, 7, 2025- March 21, 2025
• Session 3: April 1 2025- May 30 2025

The student information form only needs to be filled out ONCE. Registration is not complete until the Student Information Form has been completed and submitted to MOCA. The Teen Art Force Exhibition and Art X Couture Fashion Show

This is an opportunity for students to exhibit their work in an art museum! 

• The show will be on Friday May 30
• Prizes for Best Dressed (Fashion Show), Peoples Choice, Staffs Choice, and Curators choice will be presented.
• Participation certificates for students who attend 25+ classes 

There will be no class on the following dates:

• October 3, 2024- Teacher Planning Day 
• November 5, 2024- Teacher Planning Day
• November 11, 2024- Legal Holiday
• November 25 - 29 2024 -Thanksgiving Break
• December 20 2024 - January 3 2025- Winter Break
• January 17, 2025- Teacher Planning Day
• March 24 - 31, 2024-  Spring Break
• April 18, 2025- Teacher Planning Day 
• May 26,2025- Legal Holiday
