Join MOCA on the first Sunday of every month for MOCA Sunday Stories for storytime, followed by a DIY early childhood art project. Sponsored by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, this early childhood program engages toddlers and fosters reading, motor skill development and socialization. MOCA Sunday Stories is also a great way for children to bond with their parents or guardians as they create together.
After reading Prince & Knight, children will create their own celebration shields- decorating a personal shield with symbols, colors, and images that represent love, bravery, and who they are. This activity invites reflection on identity, inclusivity, and celebrating the many ways we show love and courage in our lives.
Please note, that by registering you are not guaranteed a seat, as our programs are free, they are first come first serve.
To see each workshop, click "Show Individual Events" below.
We ask that participants register all children as well as adults in their group, it helps our staff know how many seats to prepare, thank you!
This free program is made possible by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). We are also grateful to the Books & Books Literary Foundation for providing our participating families free picture books. To continue to support MOCA and it's free educational programming, please consider becoming a MOCA member!
