Join MOCA on the first Sunday of every month for MOCA Sunday Stories for storytime, followed by a DIY early childhood art project. Sponsored by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency, this early childhood program engages toddlers and fosters reading, motor skill development and socialization. MOCA Sunday Stories is also a great way for children to bond with their parents or guardians as they create together.
Inspired by the picture book I Am Enough by Grace Byers, families will explore themes of self-love, kindness, and confidence through art-making. Children will create a colorful collage using paper, textures, and words to express how it feels to be enough. This gentle, sensory-friendly activity encourages creativity, emotional expression, and positive self-identity in a playful and supportive environment.
Please note, that by registering you are not guaranteed a seat, as our programs are free, they are first come first serve.
To see each workshop, click "Show Individual Events" below.
We ask that participants register all children as well as adults in their group, it helps our staff know how many seats to prepare, thank you!
This free program is made possible by the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA). We are also grateful to the Books & Books Literary Foundation for providing our participating families free picture books. To continue to support MOCA and it's free educational programming, please consider becoming a MOCA member!
