MOCA Makers: Reciprocal Ekphrastic

Members Sign in for your Membership Discount!

Ekphrastic poetry offers the opportunity to imagine and reflect on art through vivid and descriptive language. In this month’s Reciprocal Ekphrastic workshop, artist, curator, preparator, and educator Khaulah Naima Nuruddin guides us in this relationship between words and imagery through the work of Manuel Mathieu. Khaulah’s practice involves discovering and exploring pathways through which people might access space that has been historically denied to them or even abandon assigned spaces we do not get to choose.

Join us in this intimate and thoughtful exploration of our ongoing exhibition and develop tools for thinking and talking about art.

Tickets include admission to the museum, exhibition tour and supplies.
