General Reception: Germane Barnes - Play-House & Christopher Mitchell- Les Sirènes

Join us to celebrate new installations by artists Germane Barnes and Christopher Mitchell. Activating MOCA's Paradise Courtyard, Barnes' Play House pays homage to South Florida living with a pared-down replica of a shotgun house. On MOCA Plaza, Mitchell's Les Sirènes captures portraits of community members transformed into life-sized mermaids, adorned in vibrant Kanaval-style costumes.

MOCA Members and invited guests will have the chance to meet the artists and enjoy a celebratory toast in honor of both installations. The reception will be followed by Jazz@MOCA on the museum's plaza, featuring a performance by The Heavy Weather Quartet.
